Today- the Next Chapter…

Change is scary for anyone, especially when it’s a change in your employment and day-to-day routine. I have recently decided to finish my degree and re-join the full-time workforce. Furthermore, I just celebrated Independence Day by leaving my job of 16 years and accepting a new career in Marketing. Gasp! I have had months of anxiety, sadness, stress, and excitement. This change in our family’s routine of having me around whenever they need me with a very flexible schedule is about to come to an abrupt end, which terrifies me way more than it does the family members.

Setting goals and making lists have always been my favorite things to do every week. I am a big believer that seeing the tasks that are important to me to accomplish and inspire me each day to be intentional with my time and the feeling of checking off a list is deeply satisfying. This blog has become a way for me to keep my creative tasks flowing and inspire my love of all things arts and crafts. I am being intentional with this goal because I do not want this new career to overtake my hobby time, I need to keep my open time filled with soul-fulfilling creations.

This week I am going to post some inspiration projects and items I want to get done within the next month. July is going to be porch month. I want to redesign the front and side porches into the most inviting coffee sipping, evening cocktail location of the house.

Front Porch Topiary Boxes
Front Porch Signage
Side Porch Wall Hanging

These are just a few things I want to accomplish in the next few weeks along with getting some of my flowerbeds thinned out. They are getting overgrown and crazy. I think maybe that should be the first step. Free perenials, anyone? I would really love to make a lavendar garden too. Maybe I should prioritze my dreams and goals.
